Major in Plastic Art and Culture Education

The Major in Plastic Art and Culture Education at the Graduate School of International Cultural Studies aims to explore the convergent values of art and culture in a rapidly changing modern society, while deepening expertise in the field of plastic arts along with capabilities as an educator. This program fosters cultural and artistic education professionals equipped with critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills through a balanced curriculum of theory and practical training.

Students acquire a broad academic background in contemporary art theory, art criticism, art management, and cultural policy. Simultaneously, they engage in creative practices using various plastic media, such as Paper Glass Art, to establish their unique artistic world. In particular, emphasis is placed on acquiring art education methodologies and practical knowledge applicable to real educational settings. Furthermore, the program supports students in analyzing the interaction between art, technology, and society from multiple perspectives, and in strengthening their international perspectives and interdisciplinary research capabilities. Our goal is to help graduates grow into leaders and educators who can contribute to the development of our society and culture.

Graduates of the Major in Plastic Art and Culture Education can excel in a wide range of fields, including education, leveraging their acquired specialized knowledge and practical competencies.

<전공 소개>

「국가전략기술 육성에 관한 특별법」 (약칭: 국가전략기술법)에서 지정된 12대 기술 중 첨단 모빌리티 분야에서의 드론 기술의 발전과 역할이 점차 커지고 있으며, 아울러 인공지능(AI)과 연계하여 그 역할 및 활용 분야가 기하급수적으로 늘어나고 있는 상황에서 대학원 과정에서의 “AI 드론문화 경영교육 전공”은 시대적 요구사항이 반영된 고차원의 전공분야일뿐만 아니라 새로운 시대, 새로운 가치 추구 및 인류 공영에 기여하게 될 것이다.

Among the 12 technologies designated in the Special Act on the Promotion of National Strategic Technologies (abbreviated as the National Strategic Technologies Act), the development and role of drone technology in the advanced mobility field are increasing, and the role and application fields are increasing exponentially in connection with artificial intelligence (AI), and the "AI drone culture management education major" in the graduate course will not only be a high-level major field that reflects the requirements of the times, but will also contribute to a new era, pursuit of new values, and human co-prosperity.

<졸업 후 진로>

대학원 과정의 “AI 드론 문화경영교육” 전공 후의 진로는 크게 두 가지로 구분할 수 있다. 첫째는 석사과정을 마친 후 해당 분야의 고급기술자로서의 진로이고, 두 번째는 박사과정을 마친 후 해당 분야의 교육자(또는 교수)로서의 진로로 구분할 수 있다. 각 진로에 해당하는 분야로는 정밀농업, 지속가능한 생태환경가, 감시정찰 등 군 및 경찰 분야, 촬영 및 편집을 통한 미디어 분야, 데이터 처리 및 소프트웨어 처리를 통한 건설 및 토목 분야 등 헤아릴 수 없을 정도의 분야에서 고급기술자 및 교육자로서 진로를 선택할 수 있다. 특히 전략산업인 드론과 인공지능의 협업과 기술 발전은 우리가 상상하는 그 이상이 될 가능성이 무궁무진하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 이를 준비하는 사람들에게는 새로운 시대에 새로운 열할을 수행할 사람으로 시대를 선도하는 인재가 될 것이다.

Careers after majoring in "AI drone cultural management education" in the graduate course can be divided into two main categories. The first is a career as a high-quality engineer in the field after completing the master's program, and the second can be divided into a career as an educator (or professor) in the field after completing the doctoral program. Each career path includes precision agriculture, sustainable ecological environments, military and police fields such as surveillance and reconnaissance, media fields through filming and editing, and construction and civil engineering fields through data processing and software processing. In particular, it can be said that the collaboration and technological development of drones and artificial intelligence, which are strategic industries, have an endless potential to be more than we can imagine. Therefore, for those preparing for this, they will become the leading talents of the times as people who will carry out a new mission in a new era.
